FAQ
WHERE IS THE CHALET LOCATED?
The chalet is located in a calm and authentic corner of Montriond, Morzine's sister village. It is a five minute drive to Morzine and ten minutes to the Ardent cable car. The location of the chalet was chosen as it benefits from stunning panoramic views, plenty of sunshine and a true sense of alpine space, whilst remaining close to all amenities.
DO I NEED A CAR?
Whilst a car is not essential, we recommend one. In peak winter and summer seasons there is a free bus that runs between Morzine and Ardent that stops ~250m from the chalet. However, we prefer leaving the skis on the roof of the car and driving straight to the Ardent lift to ski, plus a car is useful for other excursions and shopping etc. (although we can arrange shopping and restaurant delivery via a partner).
WHAT ARE THE ARRIVAL ARRANGMENTS?
The chalet can easily accommodate three vehicles parking on-site, more if required, two covered. However, please note that the covered parking has a height restriction of around 2.18 metres. We have installed under-driveway heating to combat snow and ice accumulation. We have also installed a rapid (11-22kW, three-phase) electric vehicle charging point for guest use (additional cost).
IS THE CHALET CHILD-FRIENDLY?
Pre-arrival, we can help to arrange lift passes, ski/bike hire etc., and advise you generally on how to get the most out of your stay. We will arrange to meet a member or your group (if not all of your party!) shortly after your arrival for a personal welcome, to briely explain how to operate key facilities and to answer any questions that you may have. You will be able to let yourself into the property. We will remain on hand throughout your stay.
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE GROUPS?
We have three young children (7, 5 and 2 years old) so the chalet has been designed with their safety and enjoyment in mind. We can provide certain items, such as cot beds and high chairs, on request. We cannot install stair gates as the stairs are wide. This has not been an issue for us as the stairs are half flights and not too steep. Being a chalet in the mountains, and with facilities such as fireplaces and a jaccuzzi, there will always be areas that require adult supervision.
WHAT ARE THE KEY HOUSE RULES?
We can accomodate certain types of group. Currently, the Vaffieu suite can be arranged as either a kingsize bed or with two single beds. The Mont Chery dorm deluxe has four full-size single bunk-beds, which are equally as comfortable for adults as children. Please get in touch with any questions you may have and we will do our best to accomodate your needs: Contact Us
WHAT ARE THE KEY BOOKING TERMS?
WHAT ARE THE PARKING ARRANGEMENTS?
We want you to have a great stay and have some house rules to keep you safe and the chalet in great condition, for you and future guests. For example, we provide luxury slippers made from recycled wool as we ask that you do not wear outdoor shoes inside the chalet. Unfortunately, we are unable to accomodate pets and smoking is not permitted inside the property.
Like most luxury chalet companies, we require a party lead to take responsibility for the booking and a deposit payment to secure the booking. A balance payment is required eight weeks prior to arrival to maintain a booking.
